Response to COVID-19
We are currently still accepting new families who are interested in ABA services. Given the COVID-19 global pandemic and the impact it may continue to have for families and people in the helping professions, we have temporarily moved towards a tele-health service delivery model. While we continue to be committed to providing high quality and socially meaningful treatment for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families, we also want to ensure that children, families, and everyone in the community remain healthy and safe. What might this mean for how services will look like:
meetings and sessions will occur via online platforms
initial assessment and treatment development will focus on addressing and identifying the most important skills that parents and children may need to successfully adjust to this temporary new norm
parent and caregiver training sessions may focus on developing a repertoire of small and attainable behavioral skills that can be generalized across a variety of activities and situations throughout an entire day
parent and BCBA will collaborate on how to immediately and regularly set up in-home routines, schedules, and activities that will keep your child safe while engaged in learning and play
check-ins and in the moment coaching during challenging situations
When we can finally step back out into the world…
What a celebration that will be! Though that new world, whatever it will look like, will also bring its own unknown challenges we must adjust to and overcome, services for your family will remain. We are in this together now! In-person visits and sessions will resume and we will work towards establishing a new normal for your child and your family.
